Top 5 Standard Features of the New Kia Syros

Kia Motors has recently introduced its most premium sub-4 metre SUV in India, known as the Kia Syros.
The pricing begins at 8.67 lakh (ex-showroom) and extends to 15.94 lakhs (ex-showroom), with the base model named “HTK Turbo” and the top-tier variant being “HTX Plus Opt Diesel AT.” The official launch took place on 1 February 2025.
In this article, we will outline the top 5 features of the Kia Syros that are standard across all variants from the base to the top model.

1) Standard 6-Airbags
Safety is a primary concern in any vehicle. The Kia Syros comes equipped with six airbags as standard up to the second row.
This guarantees that occupants in the second row will also be protected during collisions or side impacts(2 airbags in the front, 2 side curtain airbags, and 2 front seat side airbags)
Kia also claims over 20 standard features across all variants from HTK to HTX Plus optional diesel automatic, including ABS, EBD, ESC, and many others.

2) Dual HD Touch Screen
Every variant of the Kia Syros features a dual screen setup with a 31.24 cm (12.3) HD touch screen.
This setup combines the driver display and central infotainment features, along with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Bluetooth connectivity.
While it may not include all the features found in the top-tier variant, it does offer essential daily-use functionalities.
The screen layout is typically reserved for higher variants in competing vehicles, but Kia has incorporated it into the entry-level variant to gain a competitive edge.

3) Arm-rest
Usually, many vehicles do not include a soft arm-rest even in their highest variant. However, in the Kia Syros, it is a standard feature across all variants.
In addition to the arm-rest, it also includes two cup holders and rear AC vents with two charging slots, which are standard in every variant.

4) Flush type door handles
The flush type door handles are a first in this segment, providing an aesthetic appeal and enhancing the overall appearance of the vehicle. Traditionally, flush door handles have been found on premium SUVs, but Kia has introduced them in the budget segment for the first time.

5) Automatic Headlamps
The Kia Syros is equipped with automatic headlamps from the base model to the top variant, although the base model features projector-type halogen headlamps.
Conversely, the top-tier variant of the Kia Syros is fitted with fully LED projector headlamps, complete with DRLs and ice cube MFR LED headlamps featuring star map LED DRLs.
Why the Kia Syros standard features matter
These five standard features elevate the Kia Syros from being a competitive sub 4-metre SUV to a category disruptor. By offering premium technology and a comprehensive safety package with 6 airbags, even at the base price of 8.67 lakhs.
