Maruti Suzuki has officially confirmed the launch date of its electric SUV e-Vitara on 2nd December 2025. The upcoming electric SUV marks the company’s entry into the passenger EV segment. It will be offered with two battery pack options: 49 kWh and 61 kWh. The larger battery capacity (61kwh) offers a range of 500 km on a single charge.

In terms of features, it is expected to include LED headlamps, a 360° camera, a sunroof, ventilated seats, level-2 ADAS, dual screens, and Suzuki car connect technology.

Maruti Suzuki is the number one car brand across the world, so safety has been given high priority in the e-Vitara’s development. The body shell has more than 50% high tensile strength steel, with a dedicated battery protection to enhance the battery safety.
One more factor is that their rivals have mainly a 5-star safety rating. Maruti claims that the e-Vitara is one of the safest models in the Maruti Suzuki portfolio.
