Los Angeles → A vintage blue VW, model 1977, bus that became a California wildfire, made its public debut this week. The bus went viral in January when an Associated photographer captured it.
In the restoration of this car, the VW team of America took 2080 hours and included more than 900 repaired or replaced.

The white and blue combination of colour of bus looks quite pretty. It is basically a microbus named as “Azul”. It is a type-2 bus that was burned in the California wildfire earlier this year.
This microbus is owned by “Weinraub” that gained worldwide attention after getting viral,a photograph posted by Mark J. Terwill. It was looking unburned but the passenger seats were burned very badly, but then VW team decided to restore this bus.
And this process takes more than 2000 hrs of a well skilled team and over more than 900 parts restored and replaced.

VW unveiled the brand new restored bus during the night event celebration of 2025 “L.A. Auto Show”.
VW said it has been restored in $250,000 (2,24,10,375 INR). Although VW declined to share the cost of the renovation, they said,Sometimes a bus is more than a bus; it is an emotion.”
